What is a Virtual Assistant?
Virtual assistants are independent contractors who specialize in providing businesses with support services in areas that include (but are not limited to):
- Administrative
- Business / Office Support
- Personal assistance
- Accounting
- Project Management
WHY WOULD I NEED A VIRTUAL ASSISTANT?
That’s easy! Because you can’t do everything yourself.
What business owner has not dreamed of the 25th hour in a day, or the 8th day in a week?
Filing, correspondence, mailings, customer service calls, cold calling for new business leads…the list is endless. Need a PowerPoint presentation for an upcoming meeting?
No Problem!
Using the services of a Virtual Assistant frees you and your staff of time killing tasks and allows you to focus on what you do best –
Growing your Business!
WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF HIRING A VIRTUAL ASSISTANT?
Using a Virtual Assistant, you are hiring to have a specific task completed (like a mailing). You pay only for the hours required to complete the project. Not coffee breaks, not sick days.
Your Virtual Assistant works remotely from their office, so you do not have to provide office space, or equipment. Since your VA is an independent contractor, you don’t have to worry about paying taxes or benefits either.
Group Endeavors VA’s have years of corporate experience; our staff is very focused and does not require you to micromanage.
Set up the project; give us a deadline and move on to your next task!
HOW MUCH WILL HIRING A VIRTUAL ASSISTANT COST ME …Can I afford to do this?
Like any business proposal, let’s do the math.
In a typical work week, how much time do you spend (or should you be spending) on administrative and other tasks? If you are like most business owners, you spend 1 – 2 hours per day on correspondence and record keeping. That’s 10 hours per week you were not out looking for new business.
If your billable rate is $150 / per hour.
Then you are costing your business $1,500 for those hours of administrative work; PLUS the new business you did not bring in.
Your Virtual Assistants’ rate is $30 – 50 per hour (depending on the project’s skill level).
A VA costs you $300 to $500 for those same hours of administrative work. AND you got to got out and prospect for new business.
As you can see, when you reduce the time you spend on administrative tasks, you’re saving yourself money by stopping those things that aren’t income producing.
Now you save your business day, free yourself up to work on income-producing activities and spend this “new” time networking, creating new products, attracting new clients, all of the things that will help you to grow your business.
If you don’t have the capital to afford a VA for 20 hours a month, you can still hire one on for 5 or 10 hours, thus giving you those extra hours for income producing activity.
Start small! You are hiring on a task specific basis. It’s very easy to start small and move up – as you clear up the small projects, it will be easier for you to get to the “big picture”.
So perhaps the first month, all you need is 8 hours of services to call all of your old clients and update your mailing list.
Now look over your books and see how much you can afford right now.
Don’t overdo it –Whatever you can spend – whether its $200 or $600 monthly – set it aside and budget that to use for working smarter – not harder!.
