In the past few months, most of my new clients have had issues that centered around effective networking and follow-up. So you can thank them for my next series of postings.

When we market our services, we get very caught up in the numbers game. How many cards can we give out? How many cards can we collect? How many emails, flyers, etc. can we get into the hands of the public, because we all feel that EVERYONE needs what we offer.

Consider this…

First, no one likes to be “sold”!

Second

This week I had the privilege of participating in a panel discussion “Re-Inventing yourself in a recession”.

One action item I suggested to the group is to identify your core values – those things that mean the most to you. Zoning in on what is actually true and important for you is “key” to finding happiness in what you ultimately decide to do in your life and career or business.

What do you want to surround yourself with? What kind of people? What brings you true joy? Not the quick fix of material things, but what makes you heart sing.

Baking the perfect cake? Creating something? Service to others? Consider your deepest dreams and give them life by posting them here.

Your comment may be just the inspiration someone needs.

We will explore this further in future posts.
Love your life.

I try to find the fun or humor in most situations, and sometimes the joke is me! One of my stunts was to put my wig on my computer when I was fed up. Oh yes I did!

I’ve had jobs with Beer Fridays, watergun fights, the list is long and varied.

Share your ideas on how to insert FUN into your workday!

“You can become overwhelmed if you choose to be overwhelmed.

“Time mangement is a much overused term. If you just kind of organize things, I mean, I can sit back and say ‘Oh, my God, I have got to make all of these phone calls today, and I have to do this and I have to do that.’ Instead, I have a wall where I put these huge PostIts and I will catalogue things I have to do and take 3 or 4 things under each of the categories

“When you take it, as I tell my clients, and break it into bite size pieces, instead of looking at the big buffet, thinking, ’how can I eat everything on this table?’ Just pull a few of the pieces that are going to work for you and you will build something that is fullfilling and effective, and you will come away knowing that you have accomplished something as opposed to worrying about what you didn’t get done.

“That’s what’s going to have you look back at the end of the day and say, ‘hey, you know what? I rock!’”

And, when I attended the eWomen Conference, a number of the attendees found my feedback on their particular projects so valuable that they suggested I include coaching in my business model.”

“An Outcome Specialist essentially specializes in results. I emphasize that because business owners and managers have things that they do really well, and they have other things that they need to get done that they don’t want to do, or they just don’t know how to do. So what I do is help build the processes that allow them to achieve their desired outcome and then teach them how to manage it.”

–From my interview with Sandra Yancey, Founder and CEO or eWomenNetwork on her radio program. Click here to hear the entire interview.
